Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A CLASS?

There are a couple of different ways you can sign up for a class at Roseville Gymnastics. You can fill out the registration form and send it to the Roseville Parks and Recreation Department (2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, MN 55113). This form can be found in our 'Recreational Classes' drop-down menu, under our 'Fall Schedule' tab. Or you can register online using the link below.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH CLASS TO SIGN UP FOR?

If you are unsure of which class would be best suited for your child, we have a list of class descriptions for our recreational program that can help guide you. Click on the link below to find out more!

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE MY FIRST CLASS?

Each student is required to fill out their safety waiver prior to participation. Make sure that you have it ready to hand into your instructor! The safety waiver can be found in our "Recreational Classes" drop-down menu under our 'Safety Waiver' tab. We will also have extra waivers available at the gym. We ask that gymnasts arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of their practice time. We also ask that gymnasts leave their shoes, socks, jewelry, and other belongings in the lobby (cubbies and lockers are provided). WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON MY FIRST DAY OF CLASS?

If you are registered for a preschool class, please head up the stairs behind the lockers and wait for the instructor to give further directions. If you are registered for an instructional class, you can place your belongings in a locker or a cubby. From there, the instructor will call your class to the door at the start of practice. For both preschool and instructional classes, the instructor will do a brief introduction and will go over gym rules and policies. Then, the class will warm up, stretch, and practice gymnastics!

WHAT SHOULD A GYMNAST WEAR TO PRACTICE?

It is essential that gymnasts wear clothing that is appropriate for gymnastics training. Leotards are preferred, but shorts and a T-shirt would also be acceptable. The most important thing is that you avoid any loose-fitted clothing or jewelry that could get caught on anything and that your clothing covers your stomach. This is to avoid getting scraped by the uneven bars.

IS THERE A SEATING AREA FOR PARENTS?

For safety reasons, parents are not allowed beyond the gym doors unless permitted by a coach. But we do have a seating area for parents upstairs in the preschool room. There are benches with windows that overlook the entire gymnastics center for parents to sit on and watch the practice. There is also limited seating available in the lobby area downstairs.
